Fukt och v\u00e4rme g\u00f6r att fodret blir d\u00e5ligt extra snabbt s\u00e5 nu har vi b\u00f6rjat med propionsyra i blandningen.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Danne gjorde rent alla krubbor och foderbord och st\u00e4llde fram syrafatet ig\u00e5r. Vi har hittills f\u00f6rs\u00f6kt anpassa blandningarnas storlek och utfodringstiden p\u00e5 dygnet eftersom syran \u00e4r s\u00e5 dyr men nu var det dags att b\u00f6rja hj\u00e4lpkonservera.<\/p>\n<p>F\u00f6r den som inte vet s\u00e5 \u00e4r propionsyra en organisk syra som f\u00f6rekommer naturligt. Den \u00e4r sl\u00e4kt med myrsyra och fungerar s\u00e5 att den tr\u00e4nger in i exempelvis en spannm\u00e5lsk\u00e4rna eller ett gr\u00e4sstr\u00e5 och g\u00f6r att det slutar &#8221;andas&#8221;. P\u00e5 s\u00e5 s\u00e4tt f\u00e5r mikroorganismer som m\u00f6gelsvampar inget syre och kan inte forts\u00e4tta v\u00e4xa. Kvaliteten p\u00e5 fodret h\u00e5lls intakt och syrad spannm\u00e5l har vissa andra f\u00f6rdelar ocks\u00e5. Den dammar mindre, g\u00e5r att lagra n\u00e4stan var som helst och smakar ofta godare i djurens tycke. Nackdelarna \u00e4r att den den kommer med tidskr\u00e4vande inlagring och sliter h\u00e5rt p\u00e5 b\u00e5de betong och metall. Nu f\u00f6rvaras kornet luftt\u00e4tt i korvarna ist\u00e4llet och vi f\u00e5r den krossad och klar direkt efter sk\u00f6rd. Principen \u00e4r dock densamma. Det g\u00e5r l\u00e4tt att m\u00e4ta upp med en hink och man kan med f\u00f6rdel blanda med en halv traktorskopa vatten s\u00e5 det f\u00f6rdelar sig b\u00e4ttre, s\u00e4rskilt om man har torra ensilagebalar i mixen. Handskar \u00e4r bra att ha f\u00f6r syran \u00e4r stark, det m\u00e4rker man varenda \u00e5r. Den h\u00e4r tiden \u00e4r det extra viktigt att ha huvudet p\u00e5 skaft om man ska undvika matsvinn. Allt blir ju d\u00e5ligt s\u00e5 himla fort och bakterierna dansar bachata p\u00e5 varenda k\u00f6ksb\u00e4nk och sk\u00e4rbr\u00e4da nu. Man f\u00e5r t\u00e4nka p\u00e5 att h\u00e5lla kall mat kall och varm mat varm. Det \u00e4r en bra tumregel tycker jag. Inte l\u00e5ta saker st\u00e5 framme halvljumma f\u00f6r l\u00e4nge vilket annars \u00e4r en ovana jag har.
